The Problem with False Teachers and a False Gospel

When you study Bible Prophecy you are at a great advantage over those who ignore it. Prophecy is a light of certainty in a world of darkness and uncertainty..

2 5Peter 1:19-21 - And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.\

…and according to Jesus, it is told to us for our faith.

John 14:29 - And now I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe.

But know this, and this was part of Israels problem as well, we live in an age of false prophets, false teachers, teaching a false gospel. We live in an age where, as it says in 2 Timothy 4:3…

2Ti 4:3 - For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions

We live in an age where the shepherds have sold out the flock for 30 pieces of silver and worldly corporate endorsements… I mean, Im not being to facetious when I say that there are Pastors out there today who should just wear the logos of their sponsors on their jacket… Just like they put on race cars, or how golfers have on their bags.

Today, wise godly biblically solid council is being abandoned for a more, progressive and liberal gospel, and many end up worshipping false gods as they are being led astray by false teachers. 

This is dangerous, and the danger is this:

Worshipping false gods and listening to false prophets leads to spiritual decay.. and the corruption, or contamination, that comes from that, is seen through our disobedience to God’s Word, and that disobedience leads to bondage.

This is why you need to be grounded in the Word of the Lord. This is why you need to guided by the Word of the Lord.

The Word of God. Scripture. Is the only dependable source of truth. Truth about God, man, sin, salvation and of course, the future… The World is rapidly changing. The truth of the world changes hourly. 

However, God is unchanging. He is stability in the midst of instability. A life built on HIS word through prayer, is a life unshakable and a life of peace. Peace in the midst of turmoil. 

So stay in HIS WORD. You have a bible. Read it. Follow Jesus.
